I’d like to preface this by saying that I’ve done a lot of deep thinking and soul-searching this season.  I didn’t have a very good season until the very end, and I’d been considering all kinds of scenarios such as not coming back for my age-out year, or going to another ensemble.  Here’s what I realized at the end: I joined this ensemble to be a knight, to be a part of that group that I saw one day as a wide-eyed freshman from my high school ensemble.  I wanted to play with that group.  From that moment, my definition of what it means to be a knight has grown and changed year-to-year, and I think this season I finally figured out what it means to me.  The reason I’m here now, is because of all the people I’ve met who define the very virtues it takes to be a knight.  I’m here now because these people have inspired and even become a part of me, and I finally figured out what I’m doing.  What I’m looking for isn’t in another ensemble in some other state, it’s here, with my family.  It’s within myself.  I really believe in the knights, and here are what those virtues mean to me.  I intend to strive to reach these virtues, to take this code and act on it.  I’m a knight through and through, and I too will promise you, that I will never bleed another color but blue.
